During the rainy winter season the Palmiet River becomes
a haven for the adventures. This makes it the ideal place for
kayaking and canoeing.
This place have something for every one so if you do not wish
to brave the waters in a canoe why not simply come and be amazed
by the majestic views, sunbath or just
Kogelberg Nature Reserve forms the heart of the fynbos kingdom and contains no less than 1600 different plant species, of which 150 are endemic. There is also various walking trails available and can be arranged per request
The Southern Right and Humpback whales come to our awe inspiring shores from June to November to deliver and nurse their offspring. This unique experience can be seen straight from the shore.
Visit one of only 2 penguin breeding colonies on the mainland in South Africa. Stand on platform and view the Jackass penguin , one of the 18 different species of penguin in their natural habitat.
Visit the Harold Portor Botanical garden for the not so serious hiker up to the mountain top. Visit the majestic waterfalls, leopard and Disa kloof , then finish of the day at the garden's restaurant or a picnic in the gardens (basket can be arranged by your host).
For the golfer their is 2 different golf courses available. The Kleinmond golf course is a 9 hole course surrounded with fynbos. The second is a must visit course for any serious golfer, the Arabella Country Estate, a world renowned golf course that will test your abilities to the maximum.
Whether you wish to fly-fish in the lake our own back yard (meters away from your room) or angle from the rocks at the sea shore you will have all your fishing needs met here.
