Meaning of Aandkoor
On the gentle evening breeze the melodious tunes
of a multitude of frogs float over the glowing
sunlit water relaxing all it touches. It is this
unique sound that awaits you our valued guest in
your very own room.
When we started to think of a name to give our
guesthouse it seemed fitting to put some kind of
reference to this unique experience. Thus the
name Aandkoor was born.
Aandkoor is an Afrikaans word that can roughly
be translated to “night song” representing just
this unique experience that our guesthouse offer
to all that visit our little piece of heaven
right here in Betty’s Bay.
